Initially, I was extremely disappointed to find Mr. Rivera, (from The Quality Only Company) could not be located, phone numbers and email disconnected. I figured any purchase made of Carico products, was considered gone. It was to my surprise when I received a phone call from Carico International, Vice President, Joseph Di Ciacco. Mr. Di Ciacco, was extremely apologetic with the situation concerning my complaint. Mr. Di Ciacco assured me that I would be helped, as well as, receive any items paid on.
My intent was not to receive anything in return, but rather, make California’s Attorney General aware of the irresponsible Mr. Rivera was with his Quality Only Company. Mr. Di Ciacoo was able to find a resolution beyond my expectations. We have received our initial order today, we are so happy to finally have the products purchased in 2007, and had considered loss.
I would like to thank Joseph Di Ciacco, Vice President Carico International. Mr. Di Ciacco was extremely attentive to my problem, and found a quick resolution. He took full responsibility to a situation, which in all honesty was not Carico Internationals full responsibility. He made sure I was always aware of the steps he was taking, with the help of Debra Collura. I would recommend any of my friends and family to purchase Carico products.

I got my first Carico product in 2003. After that, I ordered many times products to this company. Those are very quality oriented and I use them ever day.

The first product I got was the Juice Extractor System, trying to reduce my anemia problems and also trying to reduce weight. It is fenomenal! No more anemia, I lost 10 pounds and I feel incredible.

A year after, I bought cooking utensils; some gourmet skillets, some cookware pots and the electric skillet, and I love the way they cook: Nothing sticks to them, you can cook very healthy and they are extremely easy to clean. I just love them.

Confident in the quality of the brand, I got the vacium containers (Ultravac), the water filtration system for the kitchen and also the shower filter. Those are products that also use every day.

And the last Carico product I got was the Air Purifier. I have this equiptment working 24 hours a day, and it is absorbing dust, odors and keeping my house out of bacteria and viruses.

I have almost all the products from Carico, and I’m in love with them!

I started in Carico 8 years ago, when I had been in the country for only 15 days. I was 26 years old. I had very little experience, at that moment I was completely broke. I didn’t speak English and I was very scared to work in the Marketing area of an American company.

I started with Carico seven months ago. Since then I feel I have grown as an individual. Starting out, the only experience I had was working in an Italian Ice shop where I barely got recognition for my hard work and the environment was definitely non professional. The first thing that I have to say about the company is the excellent training that I received.

I am so pleased with the great changes I have noticed in my drinking water and the quality of the air in the house this winter since I purchased my Carico Air and Water Filtration Systems... I've always been concerned about the water where I live and spend so much money on bottle water, not any more. After testing my water I knew it would be better to invest in something that would solve more than one problem because I was still cooking in that water. My boyfriend, who has allergies to animals, noticed a difference immediately, the air filter keeps my house smelling fresh and the air clean, I have 2 cats and a new puppy so it really has made a big difference... We own the Lone Gull Coffee House in Gloucester, last year we had to close our doors due to a water ban from bacteria; needless to say we were upset. We have since purchased the Carico Water Filtration Systems for our whole establishment, the espresso machine, the ice machine and even our temperamental brewer that was always clogging... before we made the purchase we asked the health inspector in the event of another ban would we be able to stay open and he told us this system would insure we did not have to close our doors again. Our customers love our coffee even more now that the water is so clean and fresh making the high quality coffee we offer even tastier... one even said we have the "cleanest coffee in town" and we are proud of it & tell everyone about our Carico water filtration system... You can't get enough of a good thing , we have one at home too!

Soy Dominicana, y vivo en Miami. Quiero decirles a todos mis amigos que hace ya un tiempo que uso los productos Carico y son excelentes. Pero con lo que mas contenta estoy es con el filtro de agua, porque he gastado mucho comprando agua embotellada, y ya no necesito ni una botellita porque todos tomamos agua filtrada y hasta mi vecina viene a buscar el agua de mi filtro. Me and my fiancee were at hobby lobby and "won" a free dinner and vacation, from a gentlemen, Mr David F. He tells us that we won this fabulous dinner and show and that his "building" has a new waterfall and sets a date for us to come to dinner. It sounded wonderfull, at the time so of course we take up the offer. Well we show up and the "building" is his home, and the dinner is located in his basement, we both started thing horror movie creepy. But we go on with the dinner.

He seemed nice at first and we really started to get scared when no one else shows up and he tells us we HAVE to turn off our cell phones, which I didnt, of course. Anyways he serves us the food, and the "show" was him with his awfull jokes trying to sell carico cookware. We were so dissapointed but the worse part is the pushing, he tried and tried and tried to sell us the cookware. And when he FINALLY got the hint that we didnt want it he insulted my fiance stating that my fiancee didnt care about my health or my well being, at one point in the evening when I seemed a little impressed in one peice he had the nerve to ask if I would purchase the cookware by myself without the approval of my fiancee though throughout the night he highly emphasized that the dinner was only for married couples and the offer was for only married couples.

He was not only offering the cookware but a chance to make some money by having other people that we refer to him buy the cookware. He stated that he had 9 out of 10 purchase, then he stated that he has never lost a sell, and when we told him that we werent interested he said he's had it happen to him, He was just full of lies. He showed me a book that had letters from people who reffered others and was making money, but we caught something, all the letters were typed then signed at the bottom and on two letters which had two totally different stories, the same signature was at the bottom, right then we knew BOGUS!

Even after we declined his offer he told us that we would still get the free vacation, we didnt even bother, if we were disspointed in the dinner that we knew we wasted our time on, then we definately werent taking chances on the vacation. Please do not fall for this guys scam, please watch for a older gentlemen who calls himself a chef for a evening, and offers you dinner at in Clarksville TN.

The only thing we really losed out on was our time, and feeling so foolish after we found out we just had been suckered into going to such a "dinner" if you want to call it that. But just dont want others to have to go through the same ordeal, or even worse actually buy the product, which I found out is alot cheaper elsewhere.

Reply: We take all comments and complaints about Carico and any representatives seriously and as management we address them appropriately with those who work with Carico and who were involved.
We deeply apologize that this consumer feels the way that they do. It is always our intention and commitment to make all consumers who are involved with Carico have a pleasant experience. Unfortunately there seems to be a misunderstanding and for that we are sorry. It is our hope that by detailing the events that lead up to their meeting, that we could hopefully shed a clearer light on the matter.

We have discussed this matter in detail with the representative and trust that any consumers who meet with them in the future will have a positive experience.

This is the response from our representative:

"It has been a real pleasure to offer health products that have improved my life and maybe others. In over 40 years in this business I have had the pleasure of meeting lots of special folks that put better health as one of their top priorities and have received many letters telling me so.

When the call was made to confirm the dinner date it was clearly stated that we live in the country and the zoning laws allowed us to build our home on top of the business.

These folks who gave me the impression they were married were not invited into our home and we do not have a basement.

Three other married couples were invited but did not show up due to storm warnings. Two later rebooked. I explained that this is how we demonstrate our health products. Asked if they saw something they liked and wanted could they afford at least $15.00 a week. The answer was yes, so I proceeded requesting cell phones be off during the presentation. There was no objection to this request.

An offer was made to allow either one to purchase if they both agreed. I did mentioned that normally we do dinners for married couples but because they were interested and could afford the payments I cooked for them as a special exception and courtesy.

I did not go into the percentage of folks who purchase, only the percentages of folks who make money using our advertising kit correctly. They were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy as are all our guests.

I have no idea of where the “I never lost a sale came from” I only wish that were true.

I have learned to get all the advice I can and learn from mistakes. But I honestly can’t think of anything I did wrong or would have done differently.

Since purchasing my Carico Ultra-Tech II cook ware in May 2009, I am very happy with the results I have received. I use less water, hince the food has a nice flavour. I am impressed with the thermometer on the cover of the cook ware, I open the valve at normal heat, when it whistles I close the valve and lower the heat and in 5 to 10 mins its done.

I use my cook ware for multi task things like baking. My food does not burn so cleaning is easy, no strong abrasives or harsh cleaners are not necessary, just use warm soapy water and wipe dry. I would recommmend the Carico Ultra-Tech II cook ware to anyone especially those busy homeholders/homeowners out there.

Got a phone call that... all I had to do was go to a demo and I will get a free vacation. MY fiancé was like "Yeah right". So needless to say that my fiancé did not go with an open mind. On the car ride home I asked "that wasn't so bad" and my fiancé replied "no, not at all and in fact it was like a little comedy show". Slava is Hilarious. Not only is he entertaining but very informative as well. We truly did not have to purchase anything to get the vacation, but we were so impressed with the products that we did end up buying some. I could not tell you how long the demo was, that's how much fun it was.

This is a request to order some parts for our Carico pots that we purchased in December 4,1998. We love out cookware and have had not problems with them until recently. The vented knobs on top of the lids have started to crack and the handles on two need to be replaced; otherwise, we have enjoyed this cookware for many years without any other problems. They are extremely well made and will probably hold up until my children will inherit them. That would be the only way I would probably let them go! (not any time soon, I hope).

Thank you for such a quality product and for addressing this problem in an efficient way. We'll be waiting to hear from you.

Reply: Mr. Cline’s order was received by mail and was placed upon receipt. The handles were shipped via FedEx on 01/23/2010 and delivered on 1/26/2010.

I ordered an item from this company while on vacation. My cousin was a distributor and informed me that I had 30 days to return the item. I am no fluent in Spanish so my sister had to Translate it for me. I always ask about warranties and policies as I am a Avon Distributor. Since I was still going to be on vacation while the item was being prepared for shipment I called Carico to tell them NOT TO SHIP until AFTER 8/10. They failed to do this.

When I arrived home 8/10 I saw the box was already delivered to my home. Already upset that the company did not listen, I never opened it. I called Carico about this, no apologies. I told them I wanted to return the unopened item because I was not able to pay the amounts on the bill any longer.

They said I would not be able to return it for a refund. They mentioned picking out an item I would be able to afford (an exchange). BUT and this is what pissed me off: if the item is of lesser value they will NOT reduce the BILL! So I am paying for the previous item even though it is not what I have!

I told them I wanted to have nothing to do with the company due to it's policies, they will not issue an RMA. They will not refund the balance of a lesser item that I can afford. I am stuck with a brand new item still in it's original packaging that I NEED TO RETURN.

I am stuck with a 500.00 bill I cannot afford. Willing to take them up on their LIFETIME Guarantee for something cheaper but they will not refund the balance of the higher priced item. They are very unwilling to help me. Whether it is a return, refund or exchange! What happened to their LIFETIME GUARANTEE?

As you will note on our marketing materials and our support training materials we back our products with strong written warrantees. However we do not offer a 30 day return policy. In addition, so that everything is clear to a consumer who does not speak English, all of our marketing materials and sales order tickets are written in English and in Spanish to avoid any misunderstandings. The manner in which all sales are done is in compliance with The Federal Trade Commission's (FTC's) Cooling-Off Rule, which gives you 3-days to cancel purchases of $25 or more. » Martha of Miami, FL June 19, 2009 I bought an air filter from this company, and after they used my name as cosigner without authorization on my daughter's appplication, I decided I no longer wanted to deal with them. It has taken over a month and my daugher has not gotten her deposit back. I spoke to the sales guy that saids I cannot return the unit, that if I'm unhappy they can replace. Our Air Purification systems have purified the air in tens of thousands of customers homes and businesses. These purifiers are desired, because they are effective. We know that if you owned one of our purifiers and were using it, you would be delighted with the product. But in support of our customers, Martha R. Lopez’s order was never completed. Her order was canceled during processing and the down payment was refunded on June 12, 2009.

Lopez, their seemed to have been a misunderstanding between the independent sales consultant and Ms. Lopez as she signed the credit application as co-applicant on her daughters account. The merchandise was returned on June 28, 2009. Her order was also canceled and the refund was issued back to her credit card on June 30, 2009.

 

» Beverly of Longwood, FL February 26, 2009 I purchased the Ultra Vac Food Storage System and when it was delivered it was lacking the pump which should have been included. I have tried for days to get hold of someone in Customer Service and never have reached anyone. I have left messages as well as emailed them and have not gotten a response. This was a very expensive item and I am very unhappy that I can't use it without the pump! I am now out of the money as well as the item is usless without the pump!

Reply: (AB# 1067399 BEVERLY A SNELL / SR# 52672) We apologize that you did not receive an air pump with your Ultra Vac set and we also apologize that your call was not promptly returned. We received a voice mail message on 2/25/09 from Beverly stating she was missing the pump from her order. After reviewing the order, we returned her call on the next day (2/26) to notify the order was being processed. The order was completed and FedEx proof of delivery indicates it was delivered on 03/04/2009. Furthermore, we have spoken with Beverly and have confirmed she did receive the pump.

 

» Lucy of Harvest, AL February 2, 2009 This is not a complaint - just an inquiry. I purchased a set of Carico Cookware somewhere between 1986 and 1989 from my aunt, who was a rep. That was when I lived in New York. I believe there was a lifetime warranty on the product. Overtime, maybe within 5 years, the handles burned on three of the pieces so they're sitting in my cupboard, not being used. I know I should have contacted Carico before but that kind of action doesn't come very easily to my generation. I haven't thrown them out because I really liked the pots and had paid a lot of money (for me) for them. Now that the pots are entirely different, is it still possible for me to get the handles replaced?

» Vidal of Hialeah Gardens, FL October 13, 2008 Vidal of Hialeah Gardens FL (10/13/08) Sometime in January or so 2008, We were approach by a friend that was selling Carico products. After telling her all the horror histories that we've had with a water filter which caused to ruin our credit at the time, She kept insisting that needed the sell because was going through a bad time. Finally we bought a rapid cooker that keeps dripping water and does not gain pressure; even after three attends of replacing the top, I gave up ending up losing 400.00. We lost a friend, lost our money and lost our time trying to fix the problem.

(Unknown Customer) Reply: Carico’s Rapid cookers have been a great selling product. We have numerous comments from customers who use the product and enjoy cooking with it. We apologize that you have had some difficulties with your cooker. Our Rapid Cooker has a lifetime warranty from defects. If steam is escaping from around the edge, there is a reason why, which can also be easily corrected. We suggest that you check to see that the lid is properly placed on the unit. It is not, it will cause steam and liquids to escape. If the lid is securely positioned as per the instruction booklet, then the silicone seal may be damaged, cracked, warn, or torn. This will also cause the dripping of steam and liquid, and prevent the unit from building pressure. Third, the seal may not be properly placed on the underside of the lid, which would also cause the steam and liquid to leak and prevent the unit from being able to build the pressure. We were called about a bridal preview for Carico Cookware, and they said for attending they would give us a free vacation. We attended hoping to have the vacation, and at the last minute they got my husband and me to purchase the cookware by saying how much healthier we'd be if we used these pots and pans. My husband and I were sold on that. We qualified for a loan immediately through them so we got them. Everything sticks to these pans. They are actually now rusted, and that is not supposed to happen. We are still paying them for them, and I would like for them just to take the pans back and the loan be revoked. I spoke to many representatives that say that they have a lifetime warranty, and these problems should not be happening, and they are going to do their best to get me a new set. Still no call backs and no new set.

By "truly" following the directions you will not having a sticking problem. When you do not follow the directions, then yes, food will stick. The metal is extremely responsive to heat and retains the heat extremely well. This is why we suggest, to start with a medium heat, just to preheat the pan. To insure that you have a proper medium heat level, place a few drops of water on the medium heated pan, if the drops dance across the pan, in bead format, then the temperature is set correctly. If the water lays there and does not bead, it is too low and if the water sizzles too quickly, then the heat is too high. Once you establish your medium heat level, and lower to the correct low temperature you will be able to cook without burning foods. Think of all the fuel, and energy savings, plus being able to work in a cooler kitchen. In reference to the rust, our cookware is made of a high grade 304T stainless steel metal, which will not rust. If there are rust colors on the pan, it is usually a surface rust, perhaps caused by iron in your water. These surface discolorations can also look like rust. They are the metals heating and cooling which bring on shades of colors that may appear to be rust. Metal which is heated is actually tempered. Stainless steel becomes a work harden metal and becomes stronger over usage. These colors will polish off using a non abrasive stainless steel cleanser. » Maria of Kissimmee FL (12/18/06) Ms. Piedrahita came to my friends house to do a presentation of the carico products. I needed a water filter and she stated that the had the best in the market. Her presentation was only through a catalogue and she showed me several filters that were really expensive. I picked a filter that looked like it was worth the money I was going to invest in it..It was offered on credit and I used my credit card for the down payment of 59.00. My monthly payments were to be 26.40 per mo. Eventhough the contract I signed stated that I had 2 days to cancel same if i was not happy, and she was supposed to bring my filter within that period of time, I received the filter 2 weeks after through the mail. To my disappointment this filter looked like a small carafe, with a aaa battery, no spout to run the water, and a small hose that has to be hook to my only faucet in the sink. I immediately called the salesperson, who in turn told me I had to deal directly with Carico not her. I called them and was told that I had signed a contract and they were not going to take the filter back. The next day I returned the filter to Carico and last thursday I RECEIVED THE BOX AGAIN.UPS indicxated that Carico refused to accept the box.

I am a retired old lady who needs to drink good water for my health. This incident has caused lots of stress in my life..If they want to keep my deposit, fine, but I refuse to pay 578.00 for a carafe that is not going to clean my drinking water.
